The traditional greenhouse components are hand finished.
In addition to the carefully selected timber, the hardware components are also selected and tested for long life. The next series of images are used to demonstate that using normal zinc plated screws may not sufficiently protect against rust and subsequent structural failure. Consequently we use very expensive stainless steel screws which will never rust, to fix all exterior elements.
The above screw rust test was produced by exposing to the elements over a period of time, to demonstrate that the expensive stainless steel screws will out perform normal zinc plated screws that are often used by competitors to save cost.
Rust is evident on the zinc plated screws shown above, and if used in constructing a greenhouse, this could soon cause unsightly brown streaks to appear as stains on the timber or paintwork. More importantly in time repairs may be required to retain the constructional integrity.
In the same test, the stainless steel screws do not have any signs of rust.

The Greenhouses are delivered, factory painted & installed complete with pressure treated bearers. Available in any size or bespoke style to your colour choice please enquire.
In line with all out door painted structures , you will need to ensure that periodic maintainance of the paintwork should be carried out from time to time depending on local conditions. Touch up any areas to keep the protection of the paint in good condition.
